Description: This video shows the animation of my puzzle cube design with 5 different parts!-
Conclusion Questions:
1. Why is it important to model an idea before making a final prototype?
is it important to model an idea before making a final prototype because it gives you an idea of what it's going to look like.
2. 1. Which assembly constraint(s) did you use to constrain the parts of the puzzle to the assembly such that it did not move? Describe each of the constraint types used and explain the degrees of freedom that are removed when each is applied between two parts. You may wish to create a sketch to help explain your description.
I used the mate and flush constraint to constrain the parts of the puzzle to the assembly and when I did, I can no longer move the part around.
3. Based on your experiences during the completion of the Puzzle Design Challenge, what is meant when someone says, “I used a design process to solve the problem at hand”? Explain your answer using examples from the work that you completed.
It means that he used the design process to solve it. First, you determinethe problem, and in this case, the problem is to make a puzzle cube design to challenge children 3 years of age and above. Second, you generate concepts, and in my case, I brainstormed different puzzle parts. Third, I picked the best puzzle cube design and built a prototype on Inventor. The last part is to evaluate your design and look ways to improve it.
4) Why is it important to have designs and drawings reviewed by peers?
It is important to have designs and drawings reviewed by peers because they can find mistakes that you didn't notice.-
5) Why is it so important for a designer to think of multiple solutions to a design problem?
it is important to think of multiple solutions because most of the time, the first idea isn't the best.
6)What steps did you take to determine the exact number of possible combinations for each set of cubes?
I used isometric graph paper to sketch out every puzzle parts I can think of and pick from those designs which I think would be best
7) Why is it important to sketch your ideas on paper and sign and date the document?
It helps you keep track of your work and sketching your ideas helps you communicate it to others.
